Mr. Hollyer, M.Eng, P.Eng, C.Comm, is a 35-year Geoscience veteran with continuous leading edge experience, having served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Professional Business & Technical Writer & Communicator, and Chief Geophysicist, for a variety of services and instrumentation groups focused on ground, subsurface, airborne and drone geophysical technologies for gold and other mineral exploration.
He began his career as Special Projects Geophysicist at BHP in 1988 where he developed a specialization in subsurface geophysics. In 1991, he advanced to a Marketing and Writing career leading to appointment as Vice-President,, Geosoft in 1998. He joined GEM Systems in 2001 to open new markets in China and globally.
Mr. Hollyer was appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Quantec Geoscience in 2008, where he specialized in sales of deep exploration IP and Resistivity methods for grassroots and near mine exploration. He has also served as Chief Geophysicist responsible for launching a new airborne geophysics service for a local company. From 2016 to 2019, he led GeoComm Services as President and CEO where he focused on subsurface methods for gold targeting and delineation.
He is the author of more than 20 technical and scientific papers in mineral exploration and geophysics, and he has written and edited more than 100 technical and other major documents during his diverse career in the sciences and communication sectors. Some of the papers are devoted to conceptual generative works whereas others, such as his research results in subsurface geophysics, illustrate his interests in advanced in situ methods for gold and base metal exploration.
